Editions and price: what you actually get

Two editions, one of which is a set of cosmetics and a soundtrack. The interesting question is not which is better value - it is whether you need either before launch.

The short answer. $59.99 for the Standard Edition and $69.99 for the Digital Deluxe in the US, identical on PS5 and PC. The Deluxe adds two outfits, a digital artbook, and the soundtrack. It does not add content, missions, or early access.

Regional prices

Console and PC pricing does not always match. In the UK and the euro zone the PlayStation Store asks more for the same edition; in the US they are identical.

Is the Deluxe worth ten dollars

Only if you want the soundtrack. Two outfits and an artbook are the kind of thing you look at twice. Nothing in the Deluxe Edition changes what you can do in the game, and both editions unlock at the same second.

The one case for it: if you already know you will want the OST, buying it bundled is usually cheaper than buying it separately later. That is a preference question, not a value question.

Do the pre-order bonuses matter

Less than usual, and this is worth saying plainly. Pre-ordering either edition grants early access to the Treasure Basin accessory, which raises Remnant Dust drop rate by 10%, and the Legacy outfit. PlayStation's own listing states that both can also be obtained through normal in-game progression.

So the bonus is a time-saver, not an exclusive. If you are unsure about the game, waiting costs you nothing except a slightly slower start on one crafting material.

Where to buy

  • PlayStation 5 - PlayStation Store. Includes PS5 Pro enhancements, DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers, and 3D audio.
  • PC - Steam or Epic Games Store. The Steam build uses Denuvo. The Epic version has carried a Fortnite cosmetic promotion, so check the current terms before choosing a storefront.
  • China - adds WeGame and TapTap, plus a physical collector's edition with a 1/12 figure that is not sold internationally.
